Hey there, I appreciate your thoughtful response. It seems you either misread this article or skimmed through it. In the section where I reference matriarchies I state that matriarchies are just as toxic as patriarchies. When considering linguistics, I actually studied linguistics at Berkeley under one of Jacques Derrida’s pupils. Allowing me to confirm that definitions/dictionaries still hold enormous clout in modern culture; this includes the mainstream definition of sex.

That being said, it brings me hope that you see sex as a self-defining term. Which is wonderful! I wish more people did. Unfortunately, there are less folks who think like us with regards to defining sex. However, I continue to remain optimist that this is changing for the better!
